Embarking on our Journey into Sheep Farming and Breeding

Going into a new enterprise is always filled with many challenges, and it has been the case for us when we started our investment program for sheep farming and breeding, especially since we embarked on our enterprise in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
But we always hold firm to the belief that "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…” (2:286) and that through hard work and effort and always remembering Allah, we will be able to overcome the challenges.
Covid-19 had presented us with many obstacles due to the lockdown situation and movement restrictions in Australia. Nonetheless, we have been able to overcome them and have received delivery of 450 heads of our sheep, all in good state of health.
Most recently, we faced yet another challenge in the form of a 6.0 magnitude earthquake that shook the city of Melbourne, a once in a life-time event for most residents of the city.
"Alhamdulillah, our farm, the transit farms and our sheep were not affected by the earthquake", said Mohd Nasser Jamaludin, who is based in Melbourne and the lead farmer for our enterprise.
Nasser, for whom this is the second earthquake he has experienced, said the event shook his house for about 20 seconds and was mild in comparison to the earthquake he experienced in Padang, Indonesia.
Following on after last Wednesday's (22 September) earthquake, Nasser and his family have gone down to the transit farms to ensure that our sheep are doing well and have documented their trip in the videos accompanying this post.
We are glad to report that our sheep are happily grazing and running around in the fields on both transit farms.
May Allah s.w.t. continue to protect the sheep and all of us and guide us to continue to do good work.
Aameen.
